Arturia, in partnership with Bob Moog, has made a faithful reproduction of one of the most famous series of synthesizers: Moog Modular. Whether recreating the abstract tonal qualities of the classic electronic soundtracks, or pushing forward the sonic boundaries of today, the Moog Modular V is the synthesizer of choice for sound exploration, anywhere, anytime. It has all the vibe and the fat sound of the original, cleverly combined with important contemporary features like polyphony, MIDI control, loading and saving of patches…

This is by far the best VST instrument I've ever heard, period! You guys are onto a winner here!

My clients cannot believe their ears when I tell them that the kick-ass synth bass they are hearing is coming from a software. Great job!! Great instrument.

The sounds are truly fat and unique, it gives me a sound I can't get anywhere else. Some virtual synths are thin, this one rocks!

The Moog Modular V is an instrument easy to handle, with a beautiful sound and tune-stable.

Arturia's Moog is, for all practical purposes, like having your own big Moog Modular synthesizer in your studio. It's my first 'go to' synthesizer.

The Modular V is a great system. Computers and softwares have come a long way that you can now actually play the fat Moog sound in a software synth.

I love the way it sounds. It has a definite analog quality. And it's capable of more complexity than most analog real synths.

Feel very nostalgic when I see this revival of the Moog Modular synthesizer which I have used regularly for years.

The clipping of waveforms on the oscillator and the filter behaviour especially are perfect.

I played some tracks for a producer for a record I'm working on and he couldn't believe it was a plug-in! I am in heaven with this plug-in!

Modular synthesis at its best
“Probably the number one system” (Peter Forrest, The A-Z of Analog Synthesizers), the Moog Modular was soon to be adopted by groups like Tangerine Dream, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, Klaus Schulze, Isao Tomita and many others including Jean-Michel Jarre and Keith Emerson. Because it is modular, just like the original, the Modular V is the absolute sound design tool, offering endless possibilities for synthesis. It comes with 9 oscillators, 3 filter slots, 2 LFOs, 6 envelopes, VCAs, mixers, triggers and a 3x8 step-sequencer.
Much more than a Modular
We have also added in version 2.5 new and very rare Moog module replicaes like the Bode frequency shifter and the 928 sample and hold modules, as well as a few new effects developed by Arturia’s team like the formant filter and ring modulator. And now some of the modules are interchangeable, allowing custom configuration of your Modular.
With this kind of instrument in your arsenal, you’ll be making sounds that have never been heard before.
