A closer look
Between the main panel and the advanced panel, you’ll find every control you need to tailor Rev LX-24’s spacious sound to your creative needs, from the conventional to the unheard. Here’s a closer look:
Classic Panel
1
Algorithm
Switch between 8 predefined algorithms, inspired by the original hardware, that give you instant access to essential spaces and resonant ambiences. Stick to the classics or tweak them to taste - the choice is yours. Small Hall A - Small Hall B - Room A - Constant Plate - Vocal Plate - Large Hall B - Chamber - Perc Plate A
2
Lock
Fix all of Rev LX-24’s controls in place to avoid making any accidental tweaks to your perfect reverb settings. You can even switch between algorithms with your locked settings to hear the differences.
3
Mode Enhancement
To introduce extra movement and color to your reverb, this button adds subtle modulation and pitch shifts to the reverb tail, adjustable from the Advanced panel - from faint chorus-like effects to full detuned warble.
4
Decay Optimization
Rev LX-24 detects the level and characteristics of incoming signals and adjusts the decay accordingly, including tweaks to diffusion, offset, and more - keeping your reverb clean and tidy where it counts.
5
Sound Modes
The original unit’s dark sound came from its 12-bit and 24-bit converters, which filtered out frequencies above 8kHz, with the latter removing floor noise. But to give you the option, we added a modern mode that reintroduces those high frequencies for extra sparkle and clarity.
6
Decay
Adjust the time it takes for Rev LX-24’s reverb tail to end, anything from small-room bounciness to infinite echoes.
7
Crossover & Offset
Adjust how Rev LX-24 responds to the frequency spectrum by increasing or decreasing decay times below your selected crossover frequency, so you can choose between dark, noisy, or crystal-clear reverberations.
8
Damping
Choose between crisp full-frequency decay, smooth top-end response, or anything in between by attenuating the top end of the frequency spectrum.
9
Pre-delay
For that extra reflective sound, add a small amount of delay between your input signal and your reverb.
10
Distance
Mimic the sound of different microphone placements with the emulated Distance control; imagine a mic on the other side of a hall, or right next to your kick drum - or anything in between.
11
Dry/wet
Customize the balance between dry clarity and reverb depth to make sure that every sound finds its place in your mix.
Advanced Panel
1
Algorithm
As in the Classic view, Switch between 8 predefined algorithms, inspired by the original hardware, that give you instant access to essential spaces and resonant ambiences. Stick to the classics or tweak them to taste - the choice is yours. Small Hall A - Small Hall B - Room A - Constant Plate - Vocal Plate - Large Hall B - Chamber - Perc Plate A

3
Visual editor
If you’re not keen on tweaking sliders and flicking switches, Rev LX-24’s advanced panel features a visual representation of its sound. Alter everything from decay to damping, crossover to diffusion, simply by clicking and dragging different points on the visualizer.
4
Pitch Shift
Add in the perfect amount of subtle pitch modulation for the ‘Mode Enhancement’ control, from slow tape movement to dizzying wobbles.
5
Diffusion
Tap into the more detailed aspects of your reverb tail by customizing the response of the initial reverberations; cluster them together for tight, dense sounds, or spread them apart for a more textural effect.
6
Input
A delicate transformer drive and high pass filter for sculpting your input signal before the reverb sets in.
7
Ducking, Gate, and Tremolo
Make Rev LX-24’s wet signal flow, expand, and rebound in response to your input of choice. Ducking acts similar to a sidechain, giving your reverb that impactful ‘pumping’ sound; Gate does the opposite, increasing the wet level when triggered by input, giving that essential bouncy ‘80s forum sound; finally, Tremolo acts as an LFO, regularly rising and falling with various waveforms.
8
Master controls
Brightness determines the gain of the output tilt filter, while Stereo Width and Reverb Level do exactly as you’d expect - a little extra tonal control to ensure your reverb is just right for your mix.
Preset library
Bread-and-butter reverb presets perfectly tailored to vocals, drums, synths, and more; specially-designed settings offering abstract atmosphere and ever-evolving spaces; Rev LX-24 comes loaded with 100 presets for classic & essential reverb tones in a few clicks.

“The ability to select between the different convertor options is such a cool feature to make it sit in the track exactly how you want it, especially with vocals. The ducker is also such a welcome tool as it saves me having to use other plugins to do this technique which I use a lot! ”

“I love this new Arturia reverb contraption... I'm already using it on 3 projects - a commercial, a future pop record and a score for a horror film ... it's pure vibe and super user friendly. Another Aruria banger.”
At the dawn of digital
Historically, reverb was a very physical thing. Boxes full of springs, metal plates suspended in a frame, sound amplified into a room and re-recorded to capture the space. Then, in the 1970s, everything changed.
The humble microprocessor - a small computer processor chip - was making waves in everything from car manufacture to synthesizer technology. It was only a matter of time before it found its way into recording studios, and the Lexicon 224 Digital Reverberator was one of the earliest cases.
Now Rev LX-24 brings it to life in the virtual realm with unmatched accuracy, from emulating its classic algorithms to careful modeling of its analog-to-digital converters. Enjoy a true atmospheric icon right in your DAW.
