FXpansion is proud to present BFD Sleishman, a set of 2 expansion packs for BFD2 and BFD Eco that capture the sensitivity, tone and dynamic range of Sleishman drums.
Sleishman's extraordinary free-floating drums enjoy legendary status by those drummers in the know, and by those lucky enough to own them. The Sleishman system of suspending the shell without any physical contact with lugs and other hardware results in unbeatable sustain and purity of tone. The drums' patented tuning system keeps both heads precisely in tune with each other, resulting in a very unique sound.
This means that the BFD Sleishman expansions offer a very individual drum flavour: ultra-refined and full of thick, sustained tone.
BFD Sleishman Drums
BFD Sleishman Drums comprises a full Sleishman Maple Classic kit (a prototype for the upcoming Omega range), and also comes with a bonus 'lite' Sleishman 14" maple snare (16 velocity layers). The Maple Classic kit is played with both sticks and rods. The 3 toms feature stunning natural sustain and contain additional Rim Shot and Rim Click articulations when used with BFD2. The kick, tuned to produce a very punchy, tight tone, is recorded with felt and rubber beater types.
BFD Sleishman Snares
The BFD Sleishman Snares expansion pack consists of detailed recordings of 4 premium Sleishman snare drums: a 14" maple shell snare (played with rods and sticks), a 10" maple piccolo (sticks), a 13" rosegum snare (brushes and sticks) and a 14" blue acrylic (sticks). Some snares feature additional articulations when used with BFD2.
