Not a synth - this consists of samples and you can change a few parameters such as the ADSR - nothing much else. You need to use the UVI workstation which is very old fashioned and difficult to use.
There are far better VSTs available (pretty much any of them). The manual consists of 4 pages (after the 8 on installation) which gives an indication of how basic this is.
Does not seem possible to choose the output sound card - defaults to windows default card only.
